Mark Brodsky, Board Member

Mark is the owner of Mark Brodsky Digital Communications, a Toronto-based company that helps other companies grow their business using email and social media. He's been active in the OGLCC since December of 2008 and is currently the chair of the Communications Committee. Prior starting his business in January 2008, Mark's professional journey has taken him from the School of Journalism at Humber and TV Guide Canada to Lula Lounge and Xtra. He has a certificate in Bakery Arts from George Brown as well as a diploma from the Ontario School of Bartending.


John Kenyon, Past President

John is the Sales Manager for 103.9 PROUD FM, the world’s first commercially licensed LGBT radio station. With a sales staff of 8 and growing, they have increased sales dramatically during the recent recession. John has also been the president of the OGLCC for 4 years now and has seen and helped implement many changes. He looks forward to two more years on the board and many of the new challenges and opportunities facing the organization.

Larry Leung, Vice President

Larry Leung is a Manager, IT Applications Audit, at TD Bank Financial Group.  He is also a career coach and is passionate in assisting individuals and businesses achieve success. Outside of work, he has been actively participating in volunteering activities by serving as the Treasurer for the Toronto Chapter of ISACA and organizing group activities at the Toronto Daily Bread Food Bank. He is the co-chair of the OGLCC Programs and Events Committee.

Ariel Magil, Secretary

Ariel works as a Financial Planner for TD Waterhouse, based at the TD Canada Trust at Church and Wellesley. He has been actively involved in supporting the arts, as well as gay advocacy, both in Toronto and his hometown of Vancouver.

 

Caroline O’Toole, Board Member
Caroline is a Senior Compliance Officer at Scotia Asset Management LP, with over 20 years risk management experience in the banking and mutual fund dealer sectors. Caroline is very familiar with OGLCC, and has attended OMOD events for over a year. Her involvement with LGBT issues is evident from her membership on the Scotia Pride Committee, the Marketing and Communication Committee for Pride at Work, and she also sits on the planning committee for the Propride gala at Pride at Work. She has experience with, and is interested in, building membership, event planning and brainstorming ideas for projects.


Denis Schryburt, Regional Development Director

Denis Schryburt has been a proud career public servant for over 20 years with a three-year stint as a political advisor on Parliament Hill. He has a passion for community involvement, volunteering, fundraising, and theatre arts. Denis is quite active in and out of the LGBTTQ community. In addition to being Regional Director for the Ontario Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce, he also serves as Community Co-Chair of the GLBT Police Liaison Committee (Ottawa), Vice-President of PTS, a centre for the celebration of sexual orientation and gender diversity, and he is a member and past Vice-President of the Centretown Citizens Community Association (Ottawa). Denis est fier d’être un Franco-Ontarien (bilingue).


Ryan Tollofson, President

Ryan Tollofson is a Senior Manager with TELUS Business Products & Services and a founding leader of Spectrum, TELUS’ LGBTQ employee resource group. He is also an accredited professional coach and runs a successful private coaching practise that strives to improve the productivity and overall satisfaction of a wide variety of clients. A Toronto native, Ryan is very active in the community most recently cycling to Montreal in support of the Toronto PWA Foundation. He holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science from York University and an MBA from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management.
