The OGLCC Membership Committee - Where the Action Is!
The Membership Committee's goal is to create programs and initiatives to both drive membership growth in the OGLCC and retain existing members. The membership committee also makes decisions regarding membership benefits and handles any member disputes.
Programs that the Membership Committee has run to date include:
- 2-for-1 Membership Drive
- Renewal Discount Program (Currently Running)
- LGBTQ Student Group Outreach (Currently Running)

The Membership Committee meets monthly, and all members of the OGLCC are invited to take part in the Membership Committee. While the past year has seen modest growth in total memberships over the past year, the past 6 months have seen a steady increase in the number of members.
The past year was a transitional year - early on, we recognized the importance of providing a clearer and more transparent membership structure, and providing more benefits to our existing and new members.
To that end, the membership levels have been fully clarified, and this has allowed us to provide a clearer snapshot of our current situation to potential members and sponsors. The OGLCC website provides a clearer picture of what the different levels are, and which organizations or individuals belong in which category.
In terms of benefits, we have joined the Toronto Board of Trade (now Toronto Region Board of Trade), which will provide significant opportunities for both networking and events.
