The opening session to TGC's LGBT Tourism Conference will feature Thomas Roth, President and Founder of Community Marketing Inc. Thomas primarily dedicates his industry-leading expertise to leading Community Marketing's LGBT Market Research and Development Lab® division, which produces the LGBT Community Survey, among others. His session, "Actually, There is No 'Gay Market'" will show how many marketers mistakenly think of "LGBT" as one segment in a diversity strategy. In fact, there are many opportunities within the LGBT market, and the smart marketer will learn to identify them and the best fits with their products or services.

TGC is also proud to present the session "Titans of Gay Tourism" where two of Canada's most distinguished DMO Presidents will discuss what makes a truly successful LGBT destination. Charles Lapointe, Tourism Montreal, and David Whitaker, Tourism Toronto, will discuss Canada's top two LGBT tourism destinations, how they started, how they reached the popularity they enjoy today, and some of their secrets to success.
