What does the Ontario Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (OGLCC) do?

OGLCC is a federally chartered, non-profit organization with a goal to create an environment in which LGBTQ businesses and professionals can thrive through the sharing of knowledge and resources.

Through our events and activities the OGLCC is committed to:

  • Membership – providing a high level of value to all OGLCC members as well as increasing and retaining Chamber membership
  • Trade and Commerce – promoting trade and commerce for and between OGLCC members’ businesses
  • Information – becoming a valuable source of information of interest to the LGBTQ business community
  • Advocacy – promoting and protecting the interests of businesses owned, operated, and friendly to the LGBTQ community

As an LGBTQ business owner, what can OGLCC do for me?

OGLCC will provide you with regular opportunities to network with other members of the Chamber, promote your business, and be a part of a collective voice for Ontario’s LGBTQ business community – a voice that can lobby government to respond to your business needs.

As an LGBT professional looking to advance my career, what can OGLCC do for me?

OGLCC can help you increase your network of contacts, meet other similarly minded people within related professions and allow you to receive benefits that you might not otherwise have access to as a self-employed business person.

My business has a large gay clientele. I want to expand my reach into the gay community. What can OGLCC do for me?

OGLCC will let you discuss your goals in an open and professional setting and allow you to better understand the needs of the LGBTQ community and provide goods and services that appeal to that niche.

How many members does the Chamber have?

The OGLCC’s mailing list includes over 300 business professionals representing a wide range of businesses and areas of expertise. We are constantly expanding the number of members.

What do you have to do to be a member?

Membership in OGLCC is open to all individuals and businesses that support the aims of the organization. Click here to discover how you can become a member.

I am already a member of a BIA. Why should I join OGLCC?

OGLCC will expand your reach and voice to the provincial level. We advocate increasing both national and international tourism to Ontario. Existing BIA’s will be the first to benefit from an increase in the number of LGBTQ visitors.
